LG GT350 Town - Another Affordable Touchscreen Handset From LG

Even though LG is lagging behind in the smartphone segment, it is doing very well in the budget touchscreen phones segment. After clocking stunning number of sales with its Cookie series, the South Korean company has come up with Town series. LG Town is the first phone in this series and is a successor to the very popular Etna.

LG GT350 Town is a quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 handset. It measures 107.5 X 52.5 X 15.9 mm and weighs 125 grams. The phone comes with a 3.0 inches TFT resistive touchscreen display with a resolution of 240 X 400 pixels and can display up to 256K colors. Like the Etna, GT350 also has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The phone has an internal memory of 56 MB which can be further expanded to upto 8 GB using an external microSD card. Multimedia options include a music player which can support MP3/AAC+ files and a video player which supports MP4 files. Users can also listen to stereo FM radio.

LG Town has a 2 megapixel camera which can take images up to a resolution of 1600 X 1200 pixels as well as record videos of QVGA resolution at 12 grames per second. The phone integrates various social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Myspace which allows you to upload your photos and videos directly from the phone.

Connectivity options include Class 12 GPRS and Class 12 EDGE. However, it lacks high speed option like 3G and Wifi. Other data transfer features include Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0.
Users can access the internet on the move using the WAP 2.0/HTML browser preinstalled on the handset.

The cellphone has a standard Li-Ion 950 mAh battery which offers a stand-by time of 440 hours and talk time of 5 hours and 30 minutes.
